GigG
I'm in the planning stages of my Glock 17 Open gun build and was wondering what 140mm & 170mm mags or mag extensions you are using.
dskinsler83
I don't have an open GLOCK but I see most are using Taylor free lance for the 170 mags and either Dawson, TTI, or Arrendondo for
sousa
I am doing Open on the cheap this year to see if I like it. So far I do!!! Anyway, I began with factory Glock +2 baseplates on 6 mags. I just got 3 Arredondo basepads and will eventually be running them on all my mags. +6 is gonna be really nice....
Niceash
TTI Firepower +
Rob01
I use Dawsons on my 34/35 for 3 gun. They work very well with the Dawson ICE magwell. Edited May 4, 2013 by Rob01
McGlock
TTI for the 140mm.. Taylor Freelance For 170... More like 168mm here.. Rumor has it TTI is working on a true 171.25mm basepad..
Noximus03
TTI for the 140mm.. Taylor Freelance For 170... More like 168mm here.. Rumor has it TTI is working on a true 171.25mm basepad.. What he said.....
zipper046
On my G35 limited i run Arredondo extensions. 20 rounds reloadable and no issues....
loneranger04
Ordered the TTI 140s and looks like they will come tomorrow. Been shooting the standard 17 rounders and end up with a reload where the guys with +5s can finish the handgun stage w/o reloading. I'll buy my way to speed. Has anyone had to do any mods to the follower to make them work?
Tuflehundon
For the 140mm extensions there are several options for the Glock. For the 170mm, the only option I have seen is the Taylor Freelance
Noximus03
Oh, and with the TF's (regardless of length) I had to sand down the edges of the extension to get them to seat with my SJC magwell. Otherwise, I was having to JAM the mag in the gun.
Fitzghan
I’ve been running Dawson Precsions with a ZEV magwell and they fit fine (140mm). Out of 4 magazines I would have had to file two followers but then I realized I was installing them all on newer Gen 4 style mags. I then just picked some of my older magazines and had zero issue with the followers.
noexcuses
I am running dawson's on my 9mm mag and TF's brass on my 40 mags, no issues with either one
Blcksmk
For my Glock 22 Open Gun I plan on using factory Glock 22 Round Magazines for .40 Cal ammo. I will probably add a regular mag with a Taylor Freelance 170mm Base pad and try both Dawson and TTI base pads as well.
