earthshine402
If the pistol (G34) makes weight (<= 28 oz), is this guide rod legal? It sticks out further than the factory one when the slide is back. Edited April 3, 2013 by earthshine402
JimmyZip
If it makes weight, and looks the same with the slide forward, you are good to go.

Shawn Knight
But most of these guide rods have a screw in them. in a Glock 34 the extra space in the front will allow you to "hide" the screw but it is still visible from the outside of the gun. Granted you need to basically look down the barrel to see it but it is still visible. Is it still legal?
EkuJustice
If it makes weight it's fine
Fitzghan
Like others said it is fine. I use the Glockworx extended steel guide rod and have at multiple major matches.
JimmyZip
In both of my Glocks, these screws have fallen out. It has not effected the function of either gun, even though I have since gotten new replacements. I do not see why they don't just make these slightly longer, say a 1/16th of an inch and eliminate the screws altogether. As to wether these are legal, I thinks so. Tuflehundon
If you are worried about the screw, just run it uncaptured. Most people I know do since they screw tends to loosen up when shooting. Same reason I went from a 2 piece full length guide rod on my 1911 to a 1 piece full length guide rod.
