grapemeister
Has anyone heard our military is now shreading fired brass instead of selling it? I think you got a hold of an old story from several years ago. They are no longer allowed to destroy the brass, and it's now auctioned off as government surplus. tohm
I saw a story on another site that said brass was being decommissioned again. So I figured guys here would know for sure. Thanks
Steve RA
Got an E-mail from Govt. Surplus the other day, 400,000 lbs of brass back east somewhere, you have to pick it up and haul it. Not mutilated.
grapemeister
A lot rumors flying around these days. Somebody told me the other day that you now have to sign for ammo when you purchase it here in Florida, Of course, that's totally not true. It's at Ft. Benning to be picked up over a 6 month period with the price being the winning bid with market adjustments over the 6 months its being picked up. Do you think $2.50 a pound give or take? I have no clue.
Steve RA
I've heard of people bidding over $3.00 per pound, however, this is hearsay and I would not guarantee it to be accurate.

A million point two and freight is a little out of my league, I'll let you have it.

aviatrix
Anyone see what it went for? Last night it was over $4.00 a pound and once ended it only shows "out of stock".
Steve RA
No, I didn't, seems like it might be a little risky. However, who knows ???
