MickB
RCI now has available a one piece tube for the Versamax. Carbon Arms has just released theirs as well. Anyone know the pros and cons of each system? Does the RCI have a removeable end cap to allow removal of the spring and follower? Mick
ParkerNash
Cant speak much on the RCI tube but i can say the Carbon arms tube is very nice. Steel tube wrapped in carbon fiber. Looks great and you can add extension tubes to the end so you could have the usual 9 shell capacity but also buy an extension from nordic to make it a 12. quicky06
Rci says they're a wont start shipping for 6-8 weeks. Te first shipments of the carbon arms versatube are out and work great. As I'd the best thing about the versatube is that it uses standard nordic extensions that are readily available. Just put a longer or shorter nordic tube on to tweak the capacity to match rules. The thing that surprised me the most about the versatube is that it took all the play out of the hand gaurd. The factory setup allowed more play then I would like. There is none with the versatube. Oh and it's light
co-exprs
Pretty tough to compare something which exists to something which does not. My Versa tube works and looks awesome. The RCI unit will have to be pretty stellar to top it.

Guessing the VM version is pretty similar other than the mounting point.
MickB
That's my point. Just wondering about the two systems and how they compare to each other. Any benelli owners want to chime in? DaveTimm
We use Roth 1 piece tubes on our benellis and love them. No issues what so ever and they have been durable and don't require a clamp. Carbon makes nice stuff too so I don't think you can go wrong either way, both are great folks too.
DHart
Having options is nice. It would also be great to be able to get a full-length, 1-piece mag tube for the 870. The potential market for that, with the 870, is huge. One thing I love about the Winchester 1300 Defender is the full-length, 1-piece mag tube... no extensions to fuss with or be concerned about.
