BillChunn
Any idea on when the match application will be available? We are already booked into August so I would like to finalize everything for the Big Awesome sometime soon......as it is all about Him. Signed, The Handler (I have the bail $$ and the shot records) The latest revisions to the match application are done (those were made last night at the Hamlin Pub after practice) and we have a meeting on April 3rd with the club's business office manager (she's on vacation until then...). She has to agree to the procedure we are proposing on handling the checks made out to DSC and then it has to be approved by the Board of Directors. As some of you are aware, the cash tracking procedures were ahhhh shall we say a little loose in the past. The BoD has really tightened those up by installing receipts and cross checkable audit trails. They also banned the offenders from the club property for life. We have to meet their requirements so your patience is appreciated. The MCSS website owner has committed to hosting the match information (application and stage design) and providing download capability. As soon as all that is accomplished, we will be good to go. For those NROI certified Range Officers that are considering working the match, make a committment to Dave Ray (<-- click for e-mail link) and the sooner the better!! If you RO for one day, the match fee goes to $45. If you RO both days then the match is free, including the banquet. BillChunn
The 2013 Michigan Sectional Championship application has now been approved and is available at this link. As the application indicates make the checks payable to Detroit Sportsmen's Congress and mail them to the address indicated on the form. Make sure you include your e-mail address on the application as that will be used to notify you for USPSA Self-Service Squadding. Once your application is processed, you will receive an e-mail with a PIN number that is used on the squadding site. Once the stage designs are reviewed and approved they will be added to the MotorCitySpeedShooters website. Thanks for your patience. Self-squadding is now open so get those applications in the mail. Thanks, BC Edited April 4, 2013 by BillChunn
BillChunn
Doug Jones from Acc-U-Rail has come onboard as a sponsor. Thanks Doug! The decision was reached by the match committee to increase the number of slots to 100 per day with the match staff shooting on Friday. Match will now have 200+ capacity. The self-squadding page on USPSA will be adjusted to reflect this change. Our first master class shooter has been registered. Russell M. will be driving in from Toledo and shooting Production. BillChunn
The July 15th match fee increase is less than a week away. We will be using the postage mark as the date for the increase so get that paperwork in the mail! For those that are coming from Canada, please make sure you write "AirMail" of "Air Express" on the outside of your envelope. If you leave that off, it could take up to ten (10) days for your entry to reach it's destination. We already have one entry that was mailed on July 2nd and it still has not shown up.
