ShooterSteve
I shoot an STI 38 super, and usually use regular pistol primers. I know you can shoot small rifle primers safely in this combo, but my question is can you shoot magnum small rifle primers in it. I have a bunch of CCI's on hand, and with the supplies low, would like to use them if possible. Rest of load is 7.1gr VV340 behind a 124 MG jhp. Of course I want to be safe, and just don't know how much different the magnum primer is. Thanks in advance for the help.
GrumpyOne
All I've ever sho5 in my super (exact same as yours) is Win magnum primers. I use N105, not 340, but there is no issue using them. Back off a bit and chrono.
