Sphy1005
Hey, I just shot my first USPSA shoot Saturday. I've owned guns for about 13 years since I was 21 but mostly for HD or the occasional range time. My wife's cousin just move here and he's been doing idpa and ipsc for a while now. He's using and xdm .40 5.25". I decided to last month to join him so I ordered a Witness Elite Match in .40 and luckily found some extra mags at Midway so I've got 6 mags total now. Man it was so fun. I only had the gun for a week and shot it once at the range. It's about as accurate as my Kimber and much more accurate than I can shoot. I actually did well In accurate but I was super slow. Wether it be my slow magazine changes or mental ( forgot to rack the slide). But now I know. I ordered a trigger kit and blade tech holster from henning shoots yesterday. And maybe next month will get the kit with the hammer and sear and stuff. Hi-Power Jack
Welcome, now you just need a reloader
Sphy1005
As in reloading my own ammo right. If I continue this, which I'm sure I will, I'll invest in the equipment to reload. I never really shot enough before to benefit from reloading but now with ammo prices and to compete I will soon.

All-Gator
Sphy There are outstanding matches (both USPSA and IDPA) at East Alabama Gun Club right across the Chatahoochee river from Columbus. I think it's even closer to you. BTW, this weekend it's an outlaw multi-gun format. A-G

I try, but my work schedule includes a lot of weekends and it gets in the way. The Griffin Steel match is top notch. Glen Webber & Co. put on a great match.
