Shoot-em-All
What is the .223 shell plate "number" or "letter" for a 650 press. The conversion kit for 38 SC I got is having issues with turning the primer sideways just before it goes into the case. I was told at one point when I started to switch to open that for 38SC use a .223 shell plate. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
Jim333us
According to the Dillon XL650 Utility (availible here: http://www.nfatoys.com/dillon/) 223 shell plate is Dillon #13345 which is the "#3 shell plate". Jim
Shoot-em-All
Thanks. That is what they sent with the 38sc conversion kit "#3 shell plate". But I tried the 9mm shell plate and the problem went away, just loaded over 300 rounds and not one issue using the 9mm shell plate. I am sure I did something wrong someplace but I have not figured that out yet. Also I have been using the 650 for over three years but operator error can happen! LikesToShoot
http://brianenos.com...conv.chart.html I've used the cross-reference chart for the 550 before but can't seem to find one for the 650. At least it shows what calibers share regarding funnels, plates and buttons.
