blind bat
The snowblower thread got me thinking. Does anyone have any tips for keeping snow from freezing to the blow blower's chute? I've got an old (1970's vintage Ariens) that runs well but if I stop blowing snow for a couple minutes when the snow is wet/slushy the chute freezes up and I then have to shut it down and dig the ice ball out of the chute. Spraying the chute and auger down with silicon spray seems to help some but only temporarily.
MarkCO
Put a shroud around it and pipe the exhaust to the shroud.

D.Hayden
I use pam on my garage door, so it doesn't freeze to the floor, seems to work well - never tried it on the snowblower
pgh george
I have found that spraying a dry discharge shoot with spray silicone works. As Always - Your Results May Vary !
