jkatz44
I have a brand new 9pro that I plan on keeping as a backup/dedicated IPSC gun. I'm wondering if it's possible to make it have a 6 lb trigger that is somewhat decent compared to the factory trigger. I need it around 6lb because I want some cushion for the 5lb minimum. Any suggestions?
bigfish
you could try the The APEX Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit (DCAEK) and should be in the 5.5 lbs area
jkatz44
I tried that it my 9L and it was too close for comfort.(barely and I mean BARELY made 5lb) But, that may have been since I had already had trigger work done. Isn't there a Duty spring kit or something?

jkatz44
Any idea where the trigger weight will be using these springs and a factory 9pro?
ChuckTait
Any idea where the trigger weight will be using these springs and a factory 9pro? If you installed "Duty and Carry Kit Springs" only in your 9 Pro, the trigger pull will be heavier. Although striker block spring is lighter than factory striker block spring, both the trigger and sear springs are heavier.
Mapzter
It seems to me that the APEX Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit includes several components not manufactured by S&W. If that's the case, it may be legal for USPSA Production, but it's not legal for IPSC Production.
jkatz44
So is there any way to make the trigger a little bit better but stay at 6lbs?
ChuckTait
So is there any way to make the trigger a little bit better but stay at 6lbs? I believe there is no external modification, it should be legal in both SSP and Production. My last DCAEK install ended up being aroung 6.5 pounds. But if you'd prefer DIY approach, you can try this: http://www.burwellgu...Ptriggerjob.pdf
