Coleman
I bought a burris Mtac 1.5-6x w/7.62 retical I thought was for 223, but when it showed up it had the ballistic co 7.62. Maybee i ordered the wrong one or shipped the wrong one, I dont want to send it back and wait a few months to get it back, besides i can use it for my ar-308. Being a Noob is scopes. My 3-gun is starting in march in my area. Will this work for 223? the farthest shot will be 300yrds. Thanks Coleman
waktasz
As far as I know the reticle is called Ballistic CQ 5.56/7.62 and is supposed to work for both.
powderMonkey
I have the same scope. The answer lies on page 46 of their catalog. It has drops for a ton of different calibers, bullet weights, and velocities -> http://www.burrisoptics.com/pdf/2013Burriscatalog.pdf
bushmeat
I have the same scope. If all you're shooting to is 300, then it should work OK. Of course, that assumes your ammo is capable of grouping at that distance. I use 55s only closer than 200. At 200 and beyond, I use 69s. I've shot 69SMK handloads, using the MTAC 1.5-6, all the way out to 700 yards and gotten good hits.
