suesstech
I'm going to file the forend on my versamax next to the loading port this weekend to help with loading. Anyone got some pics they can share so I can get an idea of what to take off and at what angle? Thanks in advance.
MarkCO
Ryan, take a look at the thread in the Carbon Arms Vendor Tent. I photographed the last one I did..

benny hill
Remove about 3/4" from the bottom with 45 degree angle towards the sides and put a tapering bevel on it.

gng4life
Did you finish it? How did it turn out? Do you still want a pic?
suesstech
Actually I had some things come up last weekend. Going to try it again this weekend. Yeah, if you could post a pic that would be cool. I'd like to see the different ways people are doing it. Thanks in advance.
gng4life
This is a VM that was done by Benny's shop. It's been beat up a little from practice and a few matches but you get the point:

gng4life
Looks good! Have you tried loading since finishing it up?
suesstech
Yep, I load weakhand, fingers don't get hung up anymore. Think the only thing left is taking a little more material off the front of the loading port on each side. My thumb just barely catches.
urikagold
Here are some pics of one that Crucible Armament did for me. No problems with a weak hand or a dual load. Gng4life I like that bolt release. Is that a Briley?
Mberry
Urikagold- What bolt handle is that? Nice looking VersaMax!
gng4life
... Gng4life I like that bolt release. Is that a Briley? YES it is and it's awesome! It's the only way to go but it's not a screw on part. Gunsmith had to do some trimming and milling to get it on. However, it's worth every penny!
