BullyDog
WTH I was loading about 50 - 500 S&W rounds, and on the upswing in station one this happened. I think the case got stuck. The metal on top of the shell plate is real thin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
rshew
Must have been a stuck case? Good thing is Dillon should replace the shell plate no problem!
Reinz
Must have been a stuck case? Good thing is Dillon should replace the shell plate no problem! I hope so. However, 1050's are only warranteed for a year. Is it less than a year old? If not, maybe they will have compassion.
Flexmoney
Use case lube?
Nik Habicht
Use case lube? That was my first thought..... My second was to always use a single stage press to resize larger than average cases prior to running them through a 1050.....
Youngeyes
Is the case stuck in the resizing die? I had this happen on a 550 with a 50AE, but the shellplate was OK. It just pulled through the rim and left the case stuck in the die. You must have noticed something on the handle swing. That must have taken some effort to push the handle. BullyDog
I was using lube, the case was too much for the shell plate I guess. It was stuck and when I pushed back it just popped out of the plate. The 500 she'll plate is real thin on top, so it won't take much to pop it out. BullyDog
Sent two or three emails to dillon, still no replies. Called in several times, been on hold for at least a hour one time and battery went dead. Does dillon have a direct email address? That form and website does not work on a iPad. BullyDog
Here is what happened to the decapping pin on one of the shells. I sent RCBS the same day and just received my new replacement part today. I hope dillon emails me back soon.

How long did you wait for a reply? My last email was answered in about 3 weeks. Edited March 16, 2013 by dan45hk
