Going to try Bayou bullets

Tbeazlie after doing more research, found out the same thing ic not safe. Been using w-231, almost out then will switch to solo 1000 as just picked up 8lbs. Bayous are running good, shot first match with them sunday. My load in g34 gen 4 was 3.5grns of w-231, federal 100 sp primer, .135grn rn bayoubullet oal 1.155', with fps 970 pf 130.95 for 10shot avg.

Bullets don't have a whole lot to do with the amount of smoke a round produces...

That'd be a product of the type of powder used...

I'm sorry, I was thinking of copper jackets bullets. I've never used cast bullets to reload with, and had no idea the mold release smoked when the round was fired. Learned something today.

Bayous shoot fine out of my G34 with no signs of lead residue in the barrel.

I load 9 .40 and 45 all bayou with titegroup powder. 9 and .40 shoot just as clean as the mg I used to shoot for a lot less $$. 45 would load with clays. Accuracy is great !!
