dbagwell
I contacted Dave at KyTac back in early September and placed and order for a holster and mag pouches. I mailed my check and it was cashed. I have ordered from him in the past and I'm aware of the long lead times. After about two months I decided to send him an e-mail to check on the status of my order, and...no reply. Since then I have sent about a half dozen e-mails and have tried to call his number numerous times with the same result...no replies and no answer. At this point I'm just trying to determine if the guy's still alive! It's going on five months now, so I'm wondering if I'll ever get my items or if I've just kissed $200 goodbye. Any information from the members here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sgtsvi
I ordered my holster about 6 years ago from a gift certificate off the 2nd DTC prize table. It should be just about ready by now.

Oh I agree but saying that here doesn't do any good. The reason he is on the forum is to promote his matches which generate $. Jesse Tischauser
Just for the record he's made me several great special custom type holsters but getting them is always the biggest challenge. I run comp Tac or BladeTech for my regular stuff.

Mitch Harrington
From what I understand, he spends quite a bit of time at Heartland Outdoors in Edmond. Might try reaching him there.

I am one of the victim back a while ago when I dealt with KyTac. I'd complaint to BBB and it is working for the first time....then he doesn't care anymore. I keep writing posts to different forums and still not getting my items. He will just cash your cheque or credit card and then never pick up your calls. dbagwell, if you still want your money back, don't waste your time in BBB. I'd went all the way to Office of Attorney General - State of Oklahoma and filed a complaint[it's free] (See attached). Although they cannot do anything at that time, but the letter clearly indicated if additional complaints against the same entity, they will be able to do something. This guy hates me because whenever people having issues with Kytac, I'll jump in and tell my experience. And if you are lucky enough, he will send you your order right away to prove that I'm wrong. I hope my post here can help you a little. Edited March 28, 2013 by calvinyung04
Aglifter
Contact the post office? Might be able to go after him for some manner of mail fraud?
ChrisC
the oklahoma attorney general doesn't have a consumer protection unit anymore that I am aware of. I will look through some oklahoma statues to see if there is anything that this fits in and try to get back with you. maybe mail fraud, may be obtaining money by false pretence. Ill have to look to see if anything fits.
RaylanGivens
I sent him a check for a holster and magazine pouches a couple of years ago... He cashed the check and then became unreachable... He NEVER answers his phone... He is one of the few people in this game to outright cheat me on purpose. I had almost forgotten about it... I still have the cancelled chack somewhere... With a little help from another member I was finally able to contact him and I received my items last week. You are lucky because you'd started a post here and many people respond. Otherwise, you probably will never get your items like others. He did the same trick every single time. Whoever starting a post and complaint, he'll send the item right away to shut them up. For those who didn't complaint, the cheque/visa remain cashed, item never arrived. I will not say further. Just be aware next time when you choose to buy a custom made gears; find the one with good track record and reasonable speed. They are not much difference in terms of quality. Jaxshooter
If there are enough people that want to do something take him to small claims court. Hire a collectuion attorney in the town where he lives and have him file one charhge after another. Collection attorneys usually charge a reasonably low fee plus a percentage of funds collected. Another thing to do is file fraud charges against him in criminal court.. He can't ignore that. Edited April 8, 2013 by Jaxshooter

He has the same pattern from 4 years ago and still doing the same thing today!!! Best way is to stop buying from him and go to a more realiable companies. Just move on..... For those who didn't get their money back, again, go to this link as I'd suggested http://www.oag.ok.go.../complaint.html and file your complaint. splashdown
I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I ordered one of his holsters 7 years ago, got it within two months, and I've been very happy with it. I even have an extra one I picked up here off the forum for a G35. It makes me sick to hear these bad experiences, and I've heard them for years. It's too bad that this type of guy exists in our community.
