Does anyone know of an EXTENED base pad for a 126MM that will work with a Dawson Ice magwell?, Obviously they can't add rounds. BostonBullit Posted January 24, 2013 Share Posted January 24, 2013 I'm in a similar boat, or I'm preparing like I am anyway....I am planning on doing what a guy at my club did with his CZ mags and making a custom pad extension like the one MoNsTeR linked. I haven't seen anything on the market that just ads length without adding capacity. Aircooled6racer Posted January 24, 2013 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Hello: Shooters Connection sells some Double Tap base pads that should work with the Dawson magwell. I have some and can check tomorrow to see if they will if you want. They are made in Canada for IPSC. They use the standard STI base pad insert to hold them in place. Aircooled6racer Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Hello: Sorry for the late reply. The double tap base pads fits the Dawson Ice magwell just fine. It sticks out about 1/4" from the magwell. The Dawson wedge pad is recessed in the Dawson Ice magwell. I am using the Double Tap base pads for my steel challenge 126mm and 131mm tubes.
