jr. 3 gunner
I have a glock 34 gen4 that I plan on using for production, but before I shoot I decided to change the recoil spring with a SS ISMI guide rod and 13# spring. If i'm understanding what I've read correctly, the Gen4's use a dual recoil spring system. The thing is, the guide rod and spring I bought are clearly not a dual spring system. Will it still work or do I need some kind of adaptor to use it? Thanks jr. 3 gunner
rangerguy
You will need to buy an adapter to run your single recoil spring. There pretty cheap under 15 bucks. Zev tech calls there's a reducing ring.
lucky #7
You will need a gen 4 adapter like this: http://www.glockworx.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=156838&CAT=3694
jr. 3 gunner
Thanks for the help. How exactly does the adaptor work? Does the spring go on first or what?
rangerguy
You put the adapter in the bottom hole on the muzzle end of the slide and install your recoil spring a rod as normal.

MrVvrroomm
Did you try running it with the oem recoil spring? The Gen4 34 runs pretty well right out of the box.
jr. 3 gunner
It works fine the the OEM, the problem I had was that when I tried to run 147's through it, I had a lot of double feeds and FTE's because the slide wasn't coming back far enough. dskinsler83
You can also get an adapter from Jäger and one of his rods. I recommend either the ISMI 13# or the Blue Zev spring
