robmont
How much, on average, does primer and powder cost per round or per K for 9mm & 45? Thanks!

Pensfan
And to give you data for that worksheet... I buy Magtech small pistol primers at $22/1000 and my powder at $86/8lb all cash out the door. Those are buying group discount prices so not sure what others can get. So for me, 9mm and 40s&w (I get my bullets for nearly the same price) are loaded at $90.75 / 1000 rounds
Sarge
About 1/4th what the bullet costs.
sroe3
I'm loading 9mm for $98/k, bullet, powder, and primer, including all shipping and hazmat. I buy about 8000 at a time.
motosapiens
it doesn't matter what it costs 'on average'. If you pay 'average' you are paying too much. buy in bulk. go in with friends or clubs to get volume discounts.
Steve RA
Those prices probably won't work if you don't already have the components on hand.
