xracer
I've been loading Powerbond 124gr plated with 4.2Gr of Titegroup and Winchester small pistol primers at 1.140OAL and they shoot fine, not too hot... Due to the recent shortage of supplies I bought 500 Winchester "Small pistol for Magnum Pistol loads" primers. How much of an impact will this have on the current load? I'm planning on loading a few up and taking them too the range but thought I'd get some feedback here first.
superdude
You might see a small increase in velocity. Pressure might also go up slightly. It will depend on how Titegroup reacts. A comparison of pistol primers can be found at the link below. http://38super.net/Pages/Primers.html Edited January 20, 2013 by superdude
Sarge
It will most likely bump velocity and pressure up a little. But you are loading a fairly light load so it won't cause any hazards. You most likely won't be able to tell one load from the other.
xracer
Thanks guys, sounds like it shouldn't be a problem. I kinda figured (Hoped since I already bought them) that would be the case since I'm not loading a really hot load.
