twister
I just bought a Springfield Armory 1911, and would like to know what grip safety will fit their frame? Thanks for your help,Dave.
sperman
I know the S&A grip safety will fit. There may be others. http://www.smithandalexander.com/gripsafety.html
knedrgr
Of you want to replace the stock one, then look at the new EGW version that just came out. Thy make one in 0.250" and 0.220", so you'll want the 0.220" for the Springfield. Also, EGW makes it way oversize to fill in the gap that's left from SA over cutting on the frame tangs. I've used the 0.250" version on two builds and are extremely happy with the outcomes. EGW makes good stuff.

sperman
It's good to know about the EGW option. The SA worked, but the fit wasn't perfect.
knedrgr
Yup. It was recently released like a month or so ago. I've been bugging George, from EGW, for a while to release it. He actually had to order a frame from SA to get dimensions and tool up for it.
