Nimitz
I'll be shooting matches this year for the first time which usually have prize tables ... While I understand that you attend the table in the order you finish with 1st getting to go first, how does it work between divisions? Which one goes first or do they alternate between divisions or are there separate prize tables?
DWFAN
The one's I've been to have different tables for different divisions, and sized based on # of shooters in that division.
pjb45
It is up to each match to determine how the prize table is organized. At Nationals it is order of finish by Divisions. Others sometimes will have awards and First Place finishes with drawings for everyone else. Desert Classic arranges prize tables for each division. Paul-the new guy
I have seen you shoot... I don't think you will need to worry about it. ;) It changes from match to match. The Pro-Am for instance does High master then High A Then High C etc... Others do it differently

MarkCO
It is up to the MD. There are lots of options with varied benefits for the methodology chosen. Just look at the match and see what their method is so you won't get surprised. The three most common... 1. Walk prize table by match performance. These tend to be the bigger matches attended by more pros and with bigger prize tables. There are variations on this theme. Some have separate prize tables by division. Others use combined divisions by percentage which in some cases significantly favor the divisions lacking top shooters. Some matches that do this also will toss in a random draw for something really nice too. 2. Random draw. A lot of rank and file shooters prefer the lottery system since they can luck into a great prize. Some sponsors prefer this as well since the top shooters just sell their winnings and this method has a greater chance of the winner actually using the winnings. 3. Combo. Can be cash payout or prizes to the top tier with random draw for the rest. This rewards the top performers, usually with less value than option 1, but also distributes some good prizes to the rank and file.
Nimitz
Thx for the detailed explanation, they mentioned something about a raffle before the awards but that was it ...
ima45dv8
As MarkCO said, it's match dependent. Check with the match director and see what their individual plan is. There's no hard-fast rule. The MD's decide.
