RCC1
Who makes the best bullet puller on the market now? Thanks for any input, Craig
jcarpenter82
I've got a no name brand and its been 100%. I could've paid way more for a Dillon but why?
Dan Sierpina
If you're going to pull a lot of bullets a collet puller can't be beat. Hornady and RCBS both have collet pullers. When you pull the bullet, powder doesn't get spilled like a hammer type. If you only plan on an occasional round or two, a hammer puller is fine. alscott
I've always used the RCBS hammer puller and it's great, no complaints.
RCC1
Thanks for the info, I'm going to go with a hammer puller since only 30 or so rounds need to be done
mlmiller1
I like the Quinetics hammer puller. I've had some others & they all broke. A couple of them broke in only a few dozen strikes. ????? Was kind of disappointing.
Sarge
I bought a used dillon hammer on the forums. I have done hundreds of "pulls" with no issue.
mrmetalweld57
After getting and using my hornady collet puller, I'll never use a hammer puller again. Ever!!!
gng4life
Be cautious with the hammer pullers! There was a thread on here last year that a few chimed in and spoke of the rounds detonating. I threw mine away and if I need one in the future, I'll go with a collet puller.
bagdad45
Checked Midway for collet puller. It says not for non-jacketed bullets, do you guys use it for lead? I use a hammer puller. Never had a concern with detonation, not sure how that would occur. When grand kids visit that is one of there jobs before we head out to the range.
