aussie
Hi all, I just bought a second hand SDB and the guy had it advertised as with dies for 38Super, 357/38 and 9mm. It turned up with the 357 and 38S dies but no 9mm, he says he just adjusted the 38S dies for them. Don't think that could work so what is common between the two caliber conversions so I can minimise extra purchases? (I only reload for 357 and 9mm) Cheers Aussie Sent from my HTC HD2
DownUnder
Page 14 of this file - http://www.dillonhelp.com/manuals/english/Dillon-Square-Deal-B-Manual-May-2007.pdf 9mm is a tapered case, 38 Super is straight. You will need to change the sizing die if you want to load 9mm. You can probably adjust everything else to suit.
benos
All the dies in the Caliber Conversion Kit for 9mm are different from the Caliber Conversion Kit for the Super. So he may have been pulling your leg on: he says he just adjusted the 38S dies for them.
aussie
Yeah looks as if he was telling a lie. Seems I can buy just the dies by themselves but almost as expensive as a whole caliber conversion so may as well get the kit and try and sell the 38 super stuff as a kit also cheers aussie
