The powder can still be good depending on how it was stored. $10.00 per pound is a deal but not that great a deal if you can't find good load info for it. On top of that it is 40 years old and you really don't know how it was stored over the last 40 years. For another $5.00 per lb you can buy current production powder with plenty of load data available.

Not sure what "other" info you're looking for - this sums it up.

It's a crapshoot, IMHO, for a very small savings. :cheers:

Could be dangerous too! Saving a few bucks on powder just to blow up a gun with a squib isn't worth it,,, just my common sense creepin in.... unless you are gonna reload a bazillion rounds or so.
