Travtastik
So I can buy the 11 round kit and just change the end cap to make it a 9 rounder right?
MarkCO
Yes. The tube, shroud and nut will be the same on all. The 9 round has a 1 shot extension and the 11 round a 3 shot extension. So yes, you could buy either one and use whatever nordic tubes you already have to change capacity (or buy more). So, if you have a Nordic 3 round extension tube and want to be able to shoot your VM as a 9+1 or 11+1, get the 9 and you will have that. The stainless tube is 8 rounds so you can change the extension length past the nut as you wish. We will just only have a limited number of 9s and 11s. I'd tell you who has the 4 prototype 10 rounders that are out in the wild, but I am sure it will become evident. Same design, just longer stainless portion. When I tested the differences back and forth, there was no difference in function or accuracy so we went with the more versatile option.

This certainly seems like the best solution.
assaulter
Are you going to have the colored shrouds too, or will it be carbon fiber only?
MarkCO
Standard black carbon fiber shrouds on this run.

BigBamBoo
So is the factory tube fairly easy to remove? Strap wrench and a vise?
MarkCO
I've taken off 7, all by hand.
BigBamBoo
Thanks Mark. I will be buying one of the tubes for my new VM "Zombie"....i'm not to keen on the whole zombie thing, but after much searching it was the only one I could find. orangeflameshadow
With the versa max 22" tactical would I use the factory spring when installing the new 9 round tube?
MickB
The guys using the +1 extensions on their Tacticals for 9 round capacity are all using the standard spring, so I assume it will be the same for the new 1 piece tubes... With the versa max 22" tactical would I use the factory spring when installing the new 9 round tube?
MarkCO
The stock springs could be used, but the 9s and 11s will all come with a new Nordic spring, which is what I would suggest using.
orangeflameshadow
I did not expect the spring to be included, thats great. Hope to see the product release soon. Thanks for getting back so quick.

Travtastik
Mark will there be a new follower with the tube? Wanted to make sure so I could add it to Nordic order if I need to.
MarkCO
Not in this first run. The Tacticals already have a Nordic follower, so I decided to not include that this time.
mbrody
Silly question, but the smaller tube would be 9+1 or same as stock 8+1. Looking at Uspsa rules for tactical and want to make sure I'm not gonna be over the ammo capacity restriction....tks
Chuck Anderson
USPSA is only 8+1 at the start. Load it up after the signal. Changed at the beginning of the year.
co-exprs
New USPSA rules are 9 at start. That means either 8+1 or 9+0... At start. After the buzzer you can go howdy with as many shells in the tube as you want. So I shot a stage today, which had an opportunity to shoot 11 or 12 targets in one string. So I topped off my 12 shot scattergun and ran the string.
mbrody
Great, thank u both for clarifying. So marks tube will be 9+1 correct?
MarkCO
We will have a 9+1 and an 11+1.
