38supPat
It saddens me to have to pass this on, but I just found out that Terry O'Hara passed away on Sat. The world feels less interesting without him, we'll miss him alot.
DougCarden
Wow, just what I needed to end the day.... Missing seeing Alice and Terry at the Topton Pin and steel match in October was one of my regrets of not going this year. He and Alice will be in my prayers. I dont think I can pick up my shotgun without thinking about them. At least he wont have to worry about the inane gun laws where he is going! Goodnight Judge! benos
That is some crappy news. I have so many good memories from many years at Second Chance. be
Patrick Sweeney
And I was just thinking the other day "I haven't talked to Terry in a while. I've got to write him. Another lesson re-learned. No one promises us tomorrow. The shotgun world for sure is a less-rich place today.
grassy knoll
I just saw that the IPSC Ontario website has a nice tribute to the Judge Terry O'Hara
Patrick Sweeney
I still remember how it was that I came to discover Terry was a Judge. We were discussing some minutia of firearms law, and asked Terry as he walke dup "What do you think?" He said "I have no opinion on the matter." My reply was "Oh come on, everyone has an opinion." To which he said "I have no opinion because the Queen does not permit me to have one." He could not discuss firearms law, or any law, simply because he was too fair to risk the chance that someone would take his opinion out of context, or would cause him to be recused from a case as a result of his opinion being known. We are all lessened by his passing.
