MickB
On Saturday's match, while engaging plates, my VersaMax went boom and then click. I grabbed the charging handle and racked the bolt. There was another shell on the lifter. That went into the chamber and I finished the stage. I could not later locate a live shell on the ground with a light strike (doesn't mean there wasn't one). The question is - was this characteristic of a light strike, or a bad shell with very little powder?
michael1778
When you racked the bolt did an empty eject? If not, then it is possible your bolt closed on an empty chamber as the lifter somehow didn't get the shell up in front of the bolt in time. Has your lifter been welded? Mine has. I think I've had three failures this year (in matches) where the bolt closed without the shell on the lifter getting fed; just sat there. Let us know more details so we can help. Thanks.
