Matthew_Mink
Check out the notice at cz-usa for CZ day. I don't have any more details than that little blurb on our homepage.

Matthew_Mink
There is a popup off of the main page. I also just found this on the news page: Attention All Kansas City Area CZ Fans: CZ-USA has partnered up with The Bullet Hole in Overland Park, Kansas to bring you CZ Day. Come on down to the Bullet Hole on Friday September 10th, and Saturday September 11th. Check out the new models, and shoot your favorite handguns and rimfire rifles in their indoor range. One CZ Fan with tightest group will win a CZ 452 American in .17 HMR. Sounds fun.
Little Bill
I only live 10 min from the Bullet Hole, so I will go blast away with a few CZ's next weekend. I would like to shoot Angus' open gun......but I kinda doubt that it will be available... If anyone is coming this way, there is normally a 2 stage USPSA match on Friday in the lower ranges at the Bullet Hole that starts at about 6:30pm, so bring your gear. Matthew_Mink
Are you the same Bill Smith that I met at the MO Fall Classic last year? The same that was with Pete Milionis?
Little Bill
Matt, you must have earned your GM card in Memory Class. That was me. You guys obliterated me in Production at the MO. Pete was squadded with a bunch of us from Kansas, and was a very cool dude. I struggled all darn day with steel falling, but still had a blast. Last year was my first year shooting USPSA, and I have become an addict. I bought an Open gun during the winter, and I am really enjoying the things. Congrats on the gig with CZ also! If you are working with Alice, she is a really neat person, and shoots regularly at Mill Creek and Capital City using a CZ in Open.
Matthew_Mink
I also saw you in the crowd at A3 (i think, were you with a female companion?), but never got over to say hi. But I didn't know you were Little Bill on the forums... Yes, I do have a GM card in remembering people. (most of the time ) I understand the addiction, I can't quit either. Thanks! And yes, Alice was the one that signed me up, but Angus was pulling the strings. She really is a neat person. I was expecting to meet this grey haired old woman with a dry sense of humor. I didn't expect to meet someone running a firearms company just a mere 3 days older than me.
uscbigdawg
Matt. And she's cute too. Too bad that whole married thing is in the way. Wish I could go as I used to live like 2 miles from the Bullet Hole. Tell Jason Morton hello and have some Smokehouse Barbecue (about 5 miles west of the Bullet Hole)! Great burnt ends and fries! Little Bill
Matt- Are you driving up from Ar-Kansas for the CZ fest? Like Rich, I can suggest a few places to check-out / eat / etc. KC is known for its BBQ, and there is a local place that has won a few national-level BBQ competitions that I encourage everyone to try when they come to KC. uscbigdawg
- LC's is the best Burnt Ends and Fries!!!! - Arthur Bryant's (plus it's near the Negro League Hall of Fame and Jazz Museum) - Gates' BBQ (not bad, but they give you the infamous, "MAY I HELP YOU!!!!" upon entrance) - Oklahoma Joe's (aka BBQ in a gas station) - Rosedale (GREAT all around) Since you're probably going to stay on the Kansas side of KC, there's really only three good places (these are the ONLY exceptions to the rule of there's no good barbecue in Johnson County, Kansas): - Smokehouse BBQ (they are infamous for their beans!) - Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ (for whatever reason their famous for their fish, but great sausage, weak beer, but then that's a Kansas law) - Hayward's (probably the only great BBQ in Kansas) FYI, for those that hang out on Sunday, there's no alcohol sold in Kansas on Sunday and only in Missouri after 10am (I think). This is a VERY, VERY, VERY short list of the BBQ places in KC. Little Bill, as you can tell, I've been to a few in my stint in KC. Yep, and I've got sauce and t-shirts from all of them. My favorite t-shirt though is from Stroud's (home of pan fried chicken)...where their motto is, "We choke our own chickens!". Rich P.S. If you go to KC Masterpiece turn in your GM card now. Only tourists go there...and that's the dumb ones.
rhino
Those CZ 452s are the best bargain on the market in bolt action rimfire rifles. You'd have to spend five times as much to get a gun that shoots as well! I have the "Scout" model in .22LR and I love it.
Little Bill
Rich, you are the MAN. You have clearly spent some time in KC. In my opinion, the world's best BBQ IS OKLAHOMA JOES!!!!!! The Pulled Pork sandwich on Texas Toast with the HOT (Night of the Living Dead) bbq sauce is the BOMB. It is a small restraunt that is a inside a part of a gas station, believe it or not. (Seats 40ish) Circling the inside of the building are trophys from BBQ cook-offs. During week-day lunch time, the line for BBQ will stretch out the door by noon. I am drooling on my keyboard just thinking about it... ..............mmmmmm<SLURP>mmmmmm
Flexmoney
Martha Stewart just right now had Gates as a BBQ guest cook. I am hungry too.
Matthew_Mink
Bill, they haven't asked me, but I'm also traveling that weekend to USPSA Handgun Nats, so probably not.
