comeandtakeit
Howdy all. I've recently purchased a Gen4 Glock 17 in anticipation of the GSSF shoot in San Antonio coming up in December. I know I need to get some better sights, but which ones do y'all recommend? Are there different sizes to choose from? If so which of those would be best for competition? I've heard good things about Warren Tactical, but I'd like to have at least one other for comparison. Thanks!
a.roberts
Sevigny Competiton from Warren Tactical. I use a plain black front, others prefer a fiber front. What I like about them is that the rear is slightly undercut which really cuts down on any glare.
ninemmbill
Most folk will recommend the Warren/Sevigny or Dawson Precision. Both offer different combos of all black, fiber optic, or trijicon.
Niceash
I just installed Dawson Precision Front Fiber Optic on my Glock 35. Really easy to install, came with red and green fiber, and the nut driver. They have a large selection of sizes, height and width, I put .285 x .100 on mine, to match up with the Stock Adjustable Rear. lrf
I really like the Dawson adjustable rear. I use the black front sight from Dawson, I think I am going to switch to the fiber optic front for USPSA.
dlouie87
I enjoy the sevigny/ warren combo on my G34. I purchased mine from Chris Patty and super quick shipping!
BrianQ
Find what works best for you and the environment you will be shooting in. You MAY gain speed in a fiber optic but gain more accuracy in all black. Front-either fiber or black serrated; Warren is slightly wider then Dawson's, they also have different LPI, both top notch and priced similar Rear-Warren Sivegny Comp has a150 notch; nice and wide open, smooth (no serrations) really cuts down on eyes drawing to rear sight, Dawson Charger also a great option with a 145 notch great thing about sights they are easy to change out

DRAB81
This is what I see when I'm shooting my G20SF Limited Gun. I run Sevigny's w/.115" wide fronts on all my Glocks.
PistoleroJesse
I like 10-8's u-notch with a brass bead front. Gives a nice ghost ring effect, and the brass bead won't ever break. And it's as accurate as any straight black sights if you do your part.
lucky #7
I have two words for you: Dawson Precision
TeamGreenbaum
Another vote for Warren/Sevigny. I tried a fiber optic front for about 6 months, but ended up switching back to plain. I think I was trying to shoot it like a red dot instead of focusing on the front sight.
Forgetful
WTS 0.115 front and 0.150 rear with no fiber are great. But my preferred front sight width is 0.100 with a 0.125 rear. I feel like the thinner front sight makes me less sloppy on the further shots. I definitely prefer a serrated front and plain rear. With the serrated rear my eyes want to focus on them too much. Roland
I run a Warren Tactical set with fiber front on my Gen 3 34. I was origionally going to get the Sevigny competition set but i found that my eyes prefered the warren tactical rear instead of the Sevigny competiotion rear. The shape of the tactical one seems to draw my eyes to the front sight better IMHO.
billdncn
I like the Warren Tactical's better then the Warren/Sevigney's I had. Dawson adjustables are gtg too

comeandtakeit
Wow, thanks for all the repsonses and pictures. Seems pretty split between Warren Tactical and Dawson. I may go with Dawson Precision just to keep it Texan. Plus Dave Dawson seems like a really cool guy.
