iconoclast
Hello all, Does anyone know the length of the 22-round Glock factory .40SW magazines? As I understand it, the limited division of USPSA allows magazines of up to 141mm in length. If these magazines are under the allowable limit, it would obviously make the limited magazine acquisition/build process simpler (obviating baseplates, etc...) for both 9mm and .40SW (assuming one could switch followers sans difficulty). Thanks.
rangerguy
They are too long for limited but good for open.
splashdown
Glock should make a 141mm mag with a basepad that is square to the tube for max capacity. If only...
iconoclast
Thanks RangerGuy, Do you know of any particular reason more people aren't using them rather than the expensive basepad options (still higher capacity with basepads?) They are too long for limited but good for open.

They are too long for limited but good for open. Can't speak for others, but I never used them because used G22 mags are cheap, and combine that with a +4/5 base pad they pretty much even out in price compared to the factory 22rd mags. I did have one for my G22 open gun and I had to do some sanding/trimming/adjustments to get it to drop clear of the gun. Not worth the trouble IMHO.
