Big Guy
Thinking of spending New Year's with the family in Chicago. Any recommendations on where to go and what to do?
Bek
I'm going to presume you're visiting Chicago as a tourist, not here to visit family/friends, etc... so forgive me if some of my assumptions are inaccurate. There will be LOTS of different events, large & small, at various hotels, banquet halls, restaurants, and bars, all throughout the Chicago area. You can probably start investigating some of the larger events now, but smaller ones at restaurants and such, won't necessarily have information up just yet. One fantastic resource to start looking is metromix dot com. A quick search turned up 7 different events. As the date gets closer, there'll be more stuff that'll be announced and pop up on Metromix dot com. WTMX, a very popular radio station, has traditionally hosted a concert at the House of Blues every year. The final countdown usually gets televised on a local station from there. Nothing's been announced yet but will be at wtmx dot com Hope these help to get you started! Let me know if you'd like restaurant recommendations and other ideas.
