MikeRush
I don't have either, but are you talking about full length or GI style rods for said guns?
Big Guy
I don't have either, but are you talking about full length or GI style rods for said guns? I replaced the Recoil Master in my Brazos SX, but can't recall which guide rod was installed. The current guide rod measures 3.5". I just want to buy a spare to keep in my range bag. MikeRush
I just measured my Kimber factory full length guide rod for a 5 inch gun at 3.96". A full length commander rod would be roughly 3/4" less than that. Perhaps your guide rod is custom? Its longer than a commander or officer rod and shorter than a 5" gun rod. I don't know if anyone sells a 3.5" or if you would need to buy a full length and cut it down. Shouldn't be a big deal, even with very basic tools. Hope you find a solution! I do have a gunsmith that has offered to cut the guide rod for me, but I was trying to see if there was something commercially available before I drive an hour to his shop. MikeRush
That would be quite a drive for such a simple operation. A hacksaw blade would just take a few minutes. If you have a drill or drill press you could chuck it up and cut it pretty easy.
