roostershooter
I recently installed a set of XS Big Dot 24/7 Sights on my Glock 20. Prior to the switch I was shooting 8" groups at 15 yds, which I am happy with. Now, after switching to the XS sights I am all over the paper! Even though I align my rear sight to the 6 O'clock of the front dot, as described in the literature, I still can't hit the broad side of a barn. My shots are all over the paper, and I find myself concentrating more on the sight alignment than I did with the factory Glock sights. Any suggestions? buckaroo45
Interesting! I had a Big Dot setup on a 625 and found they were slower than FO. Spent too much time trying to line up the sights. Didn't score better and slower times. Traded it off before I figgered out why. Back to FO and don't have the problem. Thot it was just my old eyesight. On the other side they did what they are supposed to do, draw your focus to the sights. Mebbe some psych major has an answer.
Sheperd80
Ive only shot 1 gun with those sights. Based on that and what ive heard on forums, i think xs sights are geared toward close quarter self defense more than precision shooting. They seem great for quickly getting on target with "combat accuracy". Meaning inside a house or small area you can quickly aquire and hit a person or other large target. But that system doesnt really lend itself to competition or bullseye shooting at longer ranges. Some folks love them and others dont. Yeah, it has gotten so bad that I'm thinking about taking them off, and selling them as 'Slightly Used / Like New'. I went out shooting again this afternoon, and got frustrated so I gave up. I think I'm going to put a set of Trijicon HD Night Sights on the Glock 20, like the sights I have on my M&P Pro 5". I have zero issues with the Trijicon sights, plus the front sight is a bright orange! I can understand where people might want to use the XS Sights on a CCDW pistol, or the like. However, for target shooting ... I don't like them.
Paul-the new guy
I had them on one of my Glocks for about a month. I could not hit anything with them. The worst thing is I used red loctite as per the directions and the set screw rounded out on the rear sight. I had to drill it out. I could not even sell them. I tapped it to a target and shot it with my .

Nothing a little acetone won't cure.
