dirtypool40
OK, bear with me if I already posted this. It's too good not to, but I can't remember. I had moved twice and lost my source for pre-loaded ammo. It had been a while since I reloaded anything, so I break out the bench, press, tumbler and all the gear. I gather up some brass to tumble while I put everything together. The tumbler has sat for over a year so when I click it on it kinda stutters and then stops. Hmmm. Being a pilot I don't know any more than to cycle the switch. Same result. I figure it may be gummed up from sitting, so I sorta shake it in a circular motion, lifting it up a bit. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr off it goes. I close the door and leave it to work on my first batch of cases in a different room so I don't have to put up with the noise. I get things set up, and reward myself with a burger and a matinee. I return home to a whirring tumbler and am just licking my chops to load some .40. I turn things off, unscrew and have gorgeous shiny brass, just like I remember. I lift the thing up to dump it into the separator, and realize why it didn't want to run. I had set the tumbler on the new shag carpeting in my apartment. When I helped it get up to speed, it kept that speed while I was away and the little flywheel cut a neat little "crop circle" in my new carpet. oof. dirtypool40
It's subtle, I don't know if it would come out, but I'll see what I can do. I am going to try and pass it off as a furniture dent so I don't get charged. OR maybe I should make a pattern of crop circles???
SiG Lady
Go for a pattern over a period of time... then report it to one of the tabloids... then rake in the bucks... then buy more guns (and a new tumbler)....
