mattwaage
Read about it a bit and searched, anyone have pics or anything or can explain what gets reduced and who does it?
pivoproseem
I've not done it, but you grind off the checkering...slowly and carefully...the trigger guard and back can be undercut some, too. Take a look at the CTS CZ custom does and the Checkmate, which is a modified TS frame. Edited October 14, 2012 by pivoproseem
eerw
Usually take the checkering off the front and back. Lots of material to cut up under the beavertail and under the triggerguard.

Middle Man
I had some photos in the CZ section long, long ago. This link has one photo of Stuart's photos from his TS http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=113817&st=0&p=1291251&hl=cz%20ts%20&fromsearch=1entry1291251
huskerlrrp
I'm working on one now. It's worth paying CZ custom the money for the CTS. It's a lot of time... http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=44860.15 ...further down I hijacked the thread...kinda. kneelingatlas
trying to post my TS I can't beleive I did it. Very cool, did you do the slide cuts yourself? Do you know how much it weighs now?
gmg
No, Shay at Akai custom did all the work on it; slide cuts, grip reduction, undercut beavertail and trigger guard, and the isonite finish. Shay is an artist with CZ's. And it shoots amazing.
jsel10
@gmg, by chance what was the cost of this gun by Akai. I saw it on there website a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. Also, would this gun be legal for Tac optics in 3 gun competition, or would the slide cuts put it into open division?
burningsquirrels
for 3-gun a 9mm would really be the best choice for capacity. slide cuts keep the pistol in limited division. grip reduction really helps out a lot with this pistol.

Also, would this gun be legal for Tac optics in 3 gun competition, or would the slide cuts put it into open division? Shay charged me a little over $500 for everything I mentioned earlier. I cannot say enough good about the gun and the it shoots and handles. I love the grip reduction.
