KermitShooter
How should spent primers be disposed? I have several pounds of them in a coffee can and want to know how to properly get rid of them, and do they have any scrap value?
laz2011
You can just toss them into the garbage. But they do have scap value. It is rated as dirty brass, check with your scrap yard. A friend turned his in and made inof for 1000 primers.
JeremyM
I take them to the recycle yard when I'm in the area about once a year. I think last time, I got around $2/lb.
Coleman
I was wondering the same. Can you lemishine them to get all the primer compund out and get a higher $$ if they are clean?
Tom D.
Not worth the effort. Take to salvage dealer as is but be sure to exclude shotgun primers as their presence will further lower value. I found out the hard way!

redial
Dump 'em in the "worn out brass" bin and recycle as usual.
ChuckS
I just give them to the local indoor range to recycle with their brass.
prreed10
Another cool option: http://www.boomershooter.com/forums/index.php?/topic/9605-finally-a-use-for-spent-primers/#entry117184 Edited October 14, 2012 by prreed10
sirveyr
I dump mine in the same catch basin that I dump my used oil in. It all goes to the same river....
redial
Tried the airgun thing depicted in the vid above - WAY cool! Regrettably, I couldn't get a single one to "chamber" in my FWB 124. I tried loading them anvil-first and one chambered but wouldn't proceed down the bore in several attempts. Damn. Mark ETA - OK, got a few to work from both my Beeman P3 pistol and the FWB but none were usefully accurate.
