DaveF
Recently bought a new G34 Gen4. I am liking this gun very much. I am using the included X-large backstrap, but grip still feels a little small. Below is a pic showing my grip on the gun. I can reach the trigger with the second joint of my trigger finger. My hands are fairly big, but not THAT big. Should I be adding some grip tape to this gun? Thanks for any help in getting the proper size figured out. -
Sarge
I don't think so. I thought a grip was too small when your middle finger touches the rest of your hand? Just practice using the first pad of the finger.
dogtired
I have a pretty big mitt and have to add filler to my double stack 1911 to fatten the grip some more. When handling the Glock G4, I have tried all of the sizes and oddly enough, I do like them all. The large grip panel still has not grown on me as much. Shoot the gun with the different backstraps and see how it handles with each. In your picture the grip seems too big for your hand to me. I would think your "thenar eminence" or the thumb pad should be around the grip more. You need to back the index finger out to the first pad and pull straight back to your shoulder instead of sweeping the trigger like you will do with that grip. My read of course, your mileage may vary.
DaveF
Thanks for replies gents. In that pic, I am forcing my finger as far as it will go just to show the extra distance available. I always apply trigger pressure with just the tip of my trigger finger, NOT the way the pic shows. I ordered a 'Grip Force' adapter and am gonna give that a whirl. I think it will help change the grip angle to more of a 1911 style. Thanks again.
