Sig Sauer M400 Enhanced

Been looking at a Sig Sauer M400 enhanced at the local shop, and it's a good price. Was wondering if anyone had any opinions on it. I have heard a lot of great things about the Sig's, but not much about the M400. Here's a link to it:

Before someone says it, I do not want to build one from the ground up. Don't see a need to. Milspec AR's are plenty accurate enough for me. This will be a general purpose gun, I may use it in local 3 gun competitions, but nothing serious. I will be getting another upper in 6.8 or 300 blackout and using it for hunting as well.

I prefer a DI gun over a piston gun because it's what I trained with and used in the Marines. It's also tried and true.

Won't be doing much modding to it either. I'll add a forward grip, light, and an optic.

So what are the opinions of this M400, good or bad?

Nice looking rifle, is that an ambidextrous mag release on the L side?

I've been looking at that also. I don't know much about quality on that model but it is a Sig, and as a manufacturer I think they are at the top of the list. What attracts me to that model are the features. Sling mounts built into the receiver, ambi mag release and the extractor is supported. For the level that it is, those are very nice features.

Yes there is an Ambi mag release. Kinda liked that. It's also got nice furniture, and the price is good. Found one new for $850. Comes with 1 MagPul PMag, and a really nice Sig Sauer soft case. I also like the built in QD sling attachment points on the lower receiver that one of the other guys mentioned.

My friend just bought one for 3 Gun and general purpose. I like , he likes it, it's a good gun. You could take the SIg Sauer off it and it would still be a good gun. Sometimes companies have other companies make a gun and slap their name on it. Its a good gun.
