ZSA Match Yesterday

What a riot! I shot my first match last night with the "Zombie Shooters Association" here in NC. I'm hooked. Just wanted to say thanks to John for a great event and to the guy who lent me (sorry I forgot your name) a couple extra mags to use! Already looking forward to my next match.

Couple quick questions. I am cross dominant, right hand/left eye. I've been trying to force myself to use my right eye and am wondering if I should start lining the sights up to my left eye?

Welcome to the addiction. As far as which eye to use, with a pistol there is no question you should use your dominant eye and just move the pistol to line it up. At least that's what Dave Sevigny does, and I hear he's pretty good.

What a cool way to start!. For your eye dominance issue there is an easy trick.

1. Put on your shooting glasses

2. Place a small piece of "transparent" scotch tape over your left eye.

3. Draw and with both eyes open I bet you only see one set of sights

Use it for all dry fire and even a few matches. Won't be long the tape won't be needed.

Oh BTW I hate Zombie's. To bad someone else in OK took ZOMBHTR so I had to take ZOMBRPR. I'd much rather be the hunter but reaper will do.

Tell me, how does anyone think that cross eye dominance with a pistol makes you disadvantaged?
