jmoney
Is there a video that shows how to install the spare dillon decapping pins. I already burned through one Edited October 3, 2012 by jmoney
Sarge
Pop the clip off and drop the guts out of the die. Use whatever tools you need to unscrew the knurled knob and swap out the pin.

Got Juice?
I bought a couple 10 packs. Simply because all my friends reload on a Dillon! I have worn out one (too short to decap any more) and broken one (media jammed in a primer pocket on a glocked piece of brass) So I still have 18 left. I find that spare parts are good to have, so I purchase the wear items when I buy the press (primer punch primer feed lips, a few springs etc) and find that it saves time. Dillon's warrantee policy is stellar, but being able to replace parts when the need arises is priceless. And the parts are not expensive
jmoney
I'm having a nightmare of a time trying to remove this thing, it bent all the way up. I have been trying to bend it back out with needle nose pliers so that I can remove it, but no luck so far.
dillon
If the pin curled up, then you will need to cut the pin off using a hacksaw or dremel tool close to the knurled nut first. Then use an allen wrench in the top of the shaft, and a pair of pliers to grab onto the knurled nut and hold it while you unscrew the shaft from the knurled nut. Push out the stump of the decap pin, replace it ( a spare pin is included in the die box) and reassemble.
jmoney
took a dremel to get it off, but the press is about to roar back to life
