Simpleman71
Just got my jager ss guide rod and ismi 13 lb spring in mail. Is it necessary to cut the spring at all or can i just install as is? I thought i had read on here somewhere the some people cut the springs. Thanks in advance for positive feedback.
kellymc
I use a uncut 13 and change it once a year. I think the cutting is done mostly on the heavier springs Edited October 1, 2012 by kellymc
dsmw5142
No need to cut it.
TheBoss
What ammo do you feed it? I use the same set up and feed it 147GR 9MM. Shots very flat, or as flat as possible for a polymer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
dsmw5142
I haven't shot my G34 in about a year, but I was using 147gr Moly's or jacketed at about 135PF and it was about as accurate and nice as it could get with that gun.
Simpleman71
Thanks for the input. I haven't shot with it yet but I use atlanta arms ammo (same ammo as glock team) it is 147 gr fmj. I think the pf is between 130-135.
supreme135
13# should be fine, I would go any lighter. I run the 14# wolf on a full length guide-rod
DocHolliday1
13# should be fine, I would go any lighter. I run the 14# wolf on a full length guide-rod How do you like the 14# Wolff? I shot regular power Wolff recoil spring with SS guide rod for a couple years in my G17 which was with factory ammo. Now I've moved to to a gen 4 G34, set up w Jager guide rod and 13# ISMI. it's been running well, but the recoil spring feels so light. Maybe it's just because I'm used to the factory weight springs. landry92
15 lb spring works great in my G34 with a SS guide rod. I tried a 13 lb but with my reloads the gun did not function 100% so I moved to a 15 lb spring and it works flawlessly.
