splashdown
Is anyone using a green dot on an open pistol? If so, who makes the one you use? Just curious in case I ever get back into an open gun. I have a Konus Sight Pro Atomic on a Sig 522 that I use to win steel challenge matches. Friends call it my "cheater gun." It has five intensities for both the red and green settings. For me the green dot is much easier to pick up. It would be so easy for C-More to make a green module. What about the other small reflex sights?
OPENB
The only green dot I've found is the Docter clone from Primary Arms. I have several.
Hammar
I would love it if c-more made different color dot modules. I'll take one in green please.
renzo808
If they made a module in blue, I'd buy one of those.
bassochist
I would love it if c-more made different color dot modules. I'll take one in green please. i would like that also, green is more visible to the human eye, and with steel shooting the stop plate is painted red, so it's not easy to see a reddot on a red plate. I am really color blind. I would love a color other than red. That is the worst for me. A red fiber optic on a front sight is invisible to me while a green rod looks like it is battery powered. I would love a green Cmore on my open gun.

amish_rabbi
Im only a little color blind but i have the same opinion as scott, red is the worst FO color for me while green almost doesnt even need light to show up to my eye
splashdown
Sounds like I should head to the patent office. To the folks at CMore or Docter, I'll take one free module for the idea.

DRobson
I would think it would be simple to make a green module. Wouldn't the lens coating have to be different in order to reflect the green dot though?
outerlimits
I used to play around with dots in the old tasco days. Mainly did different dot sizes, but also experimented with different colors. Tried green, blue and orange. Finding led's that were bright enuf was the key. In the end, red was always the brightest. Now when it comes to non-battery power, green is awesome in fiber optic or tritium. I luv my ta-11hg.

I don't know what kind of lens coatings are used on my Konus micro aimpoint knock-off, there is some sort of coating, but the optic offers both red and green and both work fine. I'm not sure that C-More would have to do anything different other than supply a green diode.

1911Prof
Trijicon makes their scopes with green reticles, hell, with a lot of cheap illuminated sights you can select green. It is curious why C-More hasn't jumped all on it
Supermoto
Primary Arm makes a Jpoint style green dot. It shows up great on paper, not as nice on white steel

1911Prof
Since we are talking about reticles... I was talking to a friend of mine and it would be great to have an EOTech type reticle on a CMore, those large circles are easy to pick up on close targets for fast acquisition when transitioning between point shooting and using the finer center dot for the long shots. 38superfan
While the eotech reticle is killer on rifles the cmore isn't that far off if you thing about it. Big circle with a dot. They have fallen behind with the red though and wish they would offer green.
falconpilot
1911Prof I'm with you...I know that Eotech just to make a reticle in the shape of Bianchia Cup target..a lot of shooter used them, especially on th movers...would love to see a reticle that that for USPSA target...the would really help bracket the target..
