MTAC 1-4 or 1.5-6?

Oh yes, 6x is really important to make those little targets bigger so you can hit them.

Just foolin'. For most people, the 1x on the bottom will result in better overall performance. There are a lot more clsoe hoser shots where the 1x is very valuable, than long range shots where 6x is marginally valuable. I started with 3x9, then 2x7, then 1.5x6 and now run only 1x4s. My long range shooting is probably the best part of my game and being mid 40s, fat, slow and needing glasses, 4x does not handicap me at all when I ma looking through the optic. I have found that shooting shotgun by braille is not very fast though.

The MTAC 1-4 and 1.5-6 are the same price. I have them both and have used them both in a match. The 1.5-6 is on a hunting rig and will never again be on a match rig.

or you could get the best of both worlds: Swarovski Z6 1-6X. a true one power bottoma and a six power top end. Mine has the BRT reticle which works great for 3 gunning.
