poortrader
I've been shooting 3.2gr TG and 180g bullets. I know that it's around 140 PF. For some reason, I get much high PF out of my STI 5" Eagle than most others.
FightFireJay
I haven't taken Titegroup that low. WST did it very well but Trailboss works the best for me! 3.1 grains under 180 gr Bear Creeks @ 1.150".... it's like shooting butter, if you could shoot butter! RH45
I run Zero 180 jhps, at that length for IDPA with 3.7 grains of Titegroup, and it comes out mid 130s pf out of my Eagle, and Trojans. For 3-gun, where no pf has to be met, I'd try 3.5 to see if the gun would cycle, and check accuracy.
Sthrngnr
Thank you guys for the info, I appreciate it. What kind/pound of recoil springs are you guys using . I currently am using 12.5# with a shock buffer. Thanks JP
mertbl
In my Glock 22 I was using 4.0 grains of titegroup but loading at 1.125 and a MG 180 JHP. I was sub major but above minor. I think it was around 155 pf. It was my 3 gun load. I bumped up to 4.3 grains and it'll make major. I only wanted 1 load for USPSA and 3 gun. I have tried using oal at 1.125 and it will not work in my 2011. So mainly looking for 1.180 oal loads. I chrono'd 3.9 grains TG @ 1.180 using Bayous 180gr TC and it was 159 PF. Going to try going lower and try some lighter springs. After using up TG im going to try Clays for minor. I used Bayous 180 gr TC,not MG JHP Edited October 8, 2012 by Sthrngnr

You chronoed 3.9 grains of Titegroup, MG 180 jhp, with an OAL of 1.180" and came up with 155pf? Unless you have a really fast barrel, or your chrono is wrong, that sounds high. Are you sure you didn't chrono the 1.125 OAL load instead? That would make sense to me.

I have an SVI 2011 5", it was a surprise to me as well. The 10 shot group avg 883 FPS. I do not use 1.125 OAL in my gun,it does not function well in my gun. The load I used was 3.9 gr at 1.180 OAL. I was expecting it to be lower than 159 PF. I was using a pro-shooters chrono. He has had no issues with the chrono, but I am also in S. FL and it was about 90 degrees out. Thanks for your reply. Correction I used Bayou 180 gr TC, not MG JHP. I ran out of the MG's ,but was using the same load and oal.
