4.2 gr of N320 with 124gr Montana gold JHP at 1.135

Does anyone use 4.2 gr of N320 with 124gr Montana gold JHP at 1.135 for their G17? If so, what PF you getting? Any problems? I currently use Montana Gold 124 gr CMJs, but I have a bunch of 124 JHP layin around. I was wondering if I could substitute evenly?

I haven't tried that particular load but I have sub'ed the CMJ for the JHP and vice-versa. They shot almost exactly the same but the JHP was a little more accurate.

I ran 4.2 320 with an MG 124 CMJ @1.13 out of a 34 and got 134 PF. You should still be over or right at 130 in your G17.

I run a similar load in my G34. 4.3gr N320 under MG 124gr JHP at 1.142 OAL. This yields ~133 PF for me.

Same here, but i run mine at 1.10

I run 4.3-4 in my MP9 Pro for 135PF and see 1-2" tighter groups at 135 than 125PF for 124g. 147g at 125PF groups the same as 124g at 135pf.

I run 4.3 in my 9 Pro as well for about 131 PF (KKM barrel), using the MG 124 JHP. I load to 1.125.

I've put 4.2 grains in the same combination, at the same length, through my G17 and get almost identical velocities despite the shorter barrel length. 130-131 PF.

Just a tip when you go to chrony-- I've discovered that the jackets on the Montana Golds play all sorts of tricks on my CED. If I use Sharpie to black out the bullet (after loading, just what's visible), my ES will be cut in half and subsequently drop the SD as well. I typically pick up an average of 10 FPS per shot as well. Something to consider if you're not getting the velocities you expected.
