ErikW
It's out on DVD now, check it out. Much better than expected, sort of a Seabiscuit meets Lawrence of Arabia.

Wakal
I was really impressed. Good writing, decent cast, FANTASTIC cinematography... Missed it in the theaters, caught it on DVD last week. Alex
JFlowers
Hidalgo was a cool adventure movie. But the advertising of it as "based on a true story" was misleading since the story has been proven to be completely made up.

Deuce
I rented Hidalgo, Starsky & Hutch, and Kill Bill 2 last weekend. I had rented Kill Bill 1, months ago, and REALLY didn't like it. But, I wanted to see how it ended. As much as I didn't care for Kill Bill 2, I preferred that AND Starsky & Hutch over Hidalgo. I thought I heard someone say it was an "epic" ... I guess I have a different idea of what an "epic" is. I was quite disappointed to see Lassie meets Dances w/Wolves. Probably worth the $3 rental fee ... but disappointed nonetheless. So when's Star Wars III supposed to come out?
jessej
I rented Hidalgo a couple nights ago per Eriks' recommendation. I remember always wanting to watch it in the theater but somehow didn't make the time. Beautiful movie. Very picturesque. Kinda reminded me of Cold Mountain for some reason. Wish he would of got more friendly with that English babe. Honor above all else?
