ss+P
ok so i have 350$ to spend and i need help deciding what to do. currently i have am running a 2011 sti frame with a caspian slide in .40 for USPSA. i am planning on shooting more 3 gun next year and am trying to decide what to do. My number one option that i can think of right now is to get a lightened .40 slide and run 40 minor loads with an 11 lb recoil spring. Number two would be to buy a new barrel in 9mm and have it fit to my current slide (if possible) and change the ejector to a 9 and just run 9mm. number three would be to build a new 9mm upper on a lightened slide and just have it fit to my frame already. number 3 is a little more money than the 350 i have set aside. don't really know what to do or what the best would be please help spend my money
Merlin Orr
Get a big box of 155 bullets and run what you have now with about .5 grain less powder. Very sweet indeed. 9mm barrel will not work..dependably - in your current slide. A new (quality) top end in 9mm will double your budget .... at least double.... Bob H is selling a 6" 9mm slide and barrel in the Classifieds right now. Good price too.
