NicVerAZ
I did not believe I was anticipating the shots that much until I switched to 9mm 147gr from 115gr last Sunday. I had a match with the usual 115gr ammo on Saturday and scored a lot of A's. Then on Sunday I started using 147gr, and went out to do some practical training. I was shooting low and had a hard time on the plate rack. The shooter I was sharing the bay with told me I was very obvious in my anticipation. At a match yesterday evening I realized how much I was used to anticipating when most of my second shots were below the first ones. Basically, it was: Alpha-Delta, with Alpha in the middle, Delta way below. I even hit a no shoot placed below the target, and it went right in the A of it. Switching to a lower recoil load showed how much I was used to anticipating the recoil, as I now was over-anticipating. I like the 147gr better, now, I am going to do a lot less steel matches and more dry firing as well as practical training with paper targets at different distances and facing from different locations on the clock, until I mostly get A's.
