okfine
Greetings, all! A week ago I had not even considered reloading. With encouragement from my wife (who knows the cost of loaded ammo), I started reading everything I could about it, and came across this informative site. Ignoring recommendations to "start" with a Dillon 550, (I only plan on buying one press... ever) I found a bargain XL 650 on Craigslist three days ago with quick change heads for 9mm and .45 - perfect! Yesterday, I went to the local steel yard for material, and welded up a nice bench. Of course, I painted it Dillon blue, haha! I want to mention that I have found this site to be a wealth of information on reloading. I hope that in time, I too will be able to contribute. Cheers! lumpygravy
Welcome! You'll be pleased with your press. It and my Glock17 are the only gun related items I regret selling. Check the Reloading forum and specifically the Dillon sub-forum for a lot of great tips and advice about the press, components and various load formulae. Hardy
Nothing like a hobby (shooting) that causes you to spend more money to 'save money'. Although, I find that you spend the same and shoot more. Great job on the 650!
