Super 1050 and 50ae

I need to load some 50ae, anyone doing this on a super 1050?

What shell plate do I need?

It looks like you won't be loading 50AE on a 1050.

RCBS lists a #33 shell plte for their 5 station press but the shellholder is #33 and only for the 50AE but no other cartridge.

The C shellplate might work, this is what we use on the XL650. The bigger issue is case feeding- the large diameter of the body of the case will probably not feed through the tube, and I doubt the case will fit into the large case feed plunger. The 1050 loaders were not designed for a case that large in diameter.

OK, I got it setup. I found all the parts I needed from my other conversion kits.

Here is a list of what you will need:

45 Long Colt "Yellow" case feed adapter

45 Long Colt shell plate "C"

45 Long Colt "#4" location pins

500 S&W Plunger

500 S&W/ 50AE powder funnel

X-Large powder die

50AE Die-set

I noticed the 45 long colt swage should work if you have a crimped primer pocket. I really didn't need to use it, since I was reloading factory brass.
